DESIGN | FALL '12

This insulation was the final component of a studio wide collaboration. The process and nature of architectural design and production was analyzed further through investigation of form, parametric modeling, manufacturing and assembly while still striving to modify movement and the interaction of users to the space. The construction of this form was divided into 13 parts, one for each member of the studio. This form was then constructed, after some difficulties a last minute frame was included. 

This installation focused on design research as it relates to architecture: its practice, history, methodologies, technologies and culture. These individual cut polypropylene elements which assemble into a solid form, investigate the interaction of emerging technologies into methods and materials of design. This installation was designed for 4411 Montrose, a collection of art galleries.
